Buy a replacement outlet with a switch that matches the original. The shots may vary slightly in height and appearance, but the diameters must be identical. Connect one of the pull chain table lamp wires to each terminal in the socket, as before. Reassemble the bushing in the reverse order of disassembly. It is usually very good to use the original base, even when the replacement socket includes a base. Reinstall the harp, shadow and bulb. Plug in the lamp and test the new switch.
